 Two by two!

Love to see these white shirts walking the streets of Brazil!  Isn't it a beautiful site?  Two by two!  The Gospel spreads two by two to every person, in every Nation and tongue!

Christmas in March?

Packages take long to arrive.  We have learned that we can celebrate holiday's, Birthday's anyday of the year!  It isn't important that packages arrive on time...what's important is that they DO arrive!  Everyone JOY's in packages from home.  It is great fun for all of us!

A Gift from Elder Laws

It took him 2 months to make from the boards of a broken bed and his leatherman.   Now it is our treasure!

Specialized Training with the Sister Missionaries

When we first arrived in the Mission we only had 8 Sister in the Cuiaba Mission.  We now have 28 Sister's.  We have Sister Leaders now who do divisions with the others Sisters.  Sister's can learn how to set goals and plan from eachother.  It is great!  Because of this we decided to have a Specialized Training with just the Sisters.  It was sure a great time being together.  We talked about Chapter 6 of PMG, the Attributes of Christ and closed the training with a song from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir "More Holiness give me".  There were many tears! These Sister's add a dimension to the Work here.
We love each one of them!

Interviews of our Missionaries is a Process that cover's roughly 2000 miles!  We fly then drive, drive drive.  It takes us the whole 6 weeks to get it all covered.  We have traveled and seen some beautiful Corn, Soy, Sugar Cane, Cotton fields  and lots of cattle fields.  While in the Mato Grosso do Sul we took these pictures from the car.

a little fun along the way!  Could resist when we stopped to gas the car at this cute place!  President was even a good sport and humored me with this fun picture!

New Missionaries

February 18, 2014

Picking up new Missionaries is one of my favorite days.  We received 17 new Missionaries.  10 came from the CTM (MTC)8 Brazilian and 2 Americans in São Paulo and 7 from the US!  8 Brazilians and 9 Americans.

Our New Missionaries from the CTM (MTC) in São Paulo.   The white shirts are their Trainers.  New Sister Missionaries are with their Trainers

We loved watching this group getting off the plane.  We were watching from the airport and watching them taking this picture

It is an all day process picking them up as the Airport is being remodeled and the single lane dirt road in and out of the airport is very congested!
7 coming from the US missed their connecting flight.  It was 11 pm when they finally arrived.  We were so happy to see them walk off the plane.
This is a great group of needed Elder's  - Welcome to Cuiaba!  Land of HOT AND HOTTER!
