 Missão Brasil Cuiaba
July 1, 2012 - 2015

Our time here and experiences have been tremendous.  We will be forever blessed by them.  No one has learned, grown more or been more blessed then President and I!   We would not trade this experience away!  The Lord knows better than we what is best for us and what we can do.  It is not always easy!  We are pushed to become much more than we ever thought!  It is really having the Faith to do!  That is how I can sum this up Faith, Love, Obediance!
We love this Mission.
We love our missionaries,
We love the people of Brazil
We love our Savior
We love His Gospel,

When we first arrived in the Mission 3 years ago, it was our desire to strengthen and fortify the Mission.  We soon learned that a Mission is much more than baptizing.  It is about Retaining and Reactivating and it is about 'Baptizing Converts".   Teaching missionaries and members a love of our Savior Jesus Christ.  It is about that Love that creates a testimony and desire to be like him.  John`14:15  "If ye love me keep my commandment" vs 21   There will be tears when we leave.  I will also be crying tears of joy when I return to our home and family!  It is the bitter with the sweet!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is True.   The Lords Gospel in it's fullness has been again restored to the earth.  The Lord's message is flooding the earth today.  Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is our Savior and Redeemer.  He knows us, loves us and he atoned for our sins giving us the greatest gift of all, eternal life.  He has a Plan, it is "The Plan of Salvation".
The Lord has given us more scripture  It is the "Book of Mormon".  It testifies of Christ and gives us today more knowledge.  Truth support Truth!
D&C 76:22-24
22-"And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
23 - For we saw him even on the right hand of God and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father--
24 - That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhapitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God."

We close our Blog ending with the words that we leave our missionaries with.
"Fica Firme"
Stay Strong in the Gospel,  keep your testimonies strong and firm!

To our Missionaries who read this Blog and to the families that follow our Blog.
We love our Mission,  We love and care about our missionaries here.  It is hard to leave them.   Someday we will rejoice when we see them again.   We thank our Father in Heaven for the opportunity to have this experience and to know your sons and daughters. We will continue to pray for our missionaries and this "Missão Brasil Cuiabá"!

Amanda's Baptism
June 28, 2015
This young lady has a beautiful story.   She was taught by the our Sister Missionaries.    We were invited to go with the Sisters on one of the lessons and it was an incredible experience.   She and her husband were not legally married.  She had to wait to be baptized until they worked that out.  She has been attending Church every week for the past year.  Last weekend she called and said that they were getting married on June 20.  She asked if we could attend her Baptism on the 28th.  We were at the District Conference in Rondonopolis, a 5 hr drive away from Cuiaba.   We drove the 5 hrs home and made just in time to see her get baptized.  What a great ending to our Mission here.  We love it .

LAST SUNDAY
June 28, 2015
Our last Sunday of our Mission we spent with our District in Rondonopolis at their District Conference.  It was amazing to be with them.  Knowing that we may never see these faces again is sad for us.  We miss our Brazilian friends already!
 District President and Counselor
This man is a special friend of mine. He is the father of the District President here.  His name is Bro. Oliveira.  He will always be an eternal, forever friend.
He was in tears at our Departing!  We will always remember him!
 Primavera Branch President with Counselor
The members of Primavera and Campo Verde have to rent a bus to attend.  To travel it is 2 hr bus ride.  That is what the members do who live in our Districts.
They are the most wonderful people!
Our Mission singing us "Called to Serve" after the conference.
We love our missionaries and we miss them already!
President with some of the 'future missionaries' that want to grow up and serve missions someday!

MBC
Missão Brasil Cuiabá
2015
Nearly every week for the past 3 years (2012-15) this has been our view from the air.  We access 60% of our mission by air and 40% by car.  This is our view as we travel throughout our Mission!  The Air is a great way to travel but our experiences don't always run smooth.  We have dealt with Flight delays and cancelled flights only to make other arrangements and adjust our schedule.  To say that this has been 'an adventure' is a accurate statement - Our Mission is a daily adventure here in this Cuiabá Mission!
The Lord is blessing this land.
His work is moving forward.
We love this mission!
We love our missionaries!
We love our experiences here!
best mission in the World!

OR
it has been the view from the car window!  We pass by fields of Corn, Soy, Cotton, Sugar cane and cattle.  The fields go for hundreds of miles.  Brazil is rich in resources.  We see beautiful birds, alligators and monkeys and the Trucks!
Either way of travel, We see the beautiful inland country of Brazil.
it has been a treasured experience!  Best Mission in the World

Campo Verde
June 21, 2015

We only have a few Sundays left and we opted to spend today with the Group in Campo Verde!  Wonderful wonderful people here.  The members of the church here are a delightful people.  Attendance was 43.   It started 18 months ago with a family of 6.  With help from this family and great missionaries, it is growing.  They insisted that we stay for lunch -We love their Brazilian Food Rice, Feijoada, Pineapple, shredded Cabbage!  It was delcious.
They gave a special gift - We love it
There are no words to express how we feel about our Mission,
How we feel about the people and
How we feel about this land.

José e Eliete M. Alves
Presented us with this gift and they all signed the back!

(below) This is a cute family has a beautiful story.  Tina, the Mom (in white)is a member and so are the children.  Her husband is not.  Before living in Campo Verde she livedE for 10 years in a city that the Church was not.  For 10 years she would read everyday to her children from the Book of Mormon, teaching them about Gospel.  When they moved to Campo Verde last year, they saw the missionaries walking down the street.  Tina asked her husband to stop the car.  She got out and asked if the Church was in Campo Verde.  We had just opened the city to missionaries and started a Group.  She was overjoyed.   She has been attending with her family every week.  Their Story is not over
