This is the only Alligator Ranch in the World

They ship alligator skins all over from here.  

There are literally thousands of gators out here

It was a fun day!

This man was the first baptized member of the church in Caceres in 1977

His name is Dario Jose Ferrreira

Beautiful young mother of 3 children - Her husband is the Branch President of the Sinop Branch

They may live in a different country, speak a different language and have different customs the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the common thread that link us all together

"Hearts are the same"

 Cute family in the Sinop Branch.  The little girl in front is Brenda.  The little girl pink dress came up to me and said in English words "I Love You".  I was so surprised to hear English words.  Her mother knows a little English and taught them to her.  These people are so beautiful!

 This boy just turned 12 - He was so proud that the Sunday we were there he was given the Priesthood.

He told us that he has memorized the Article of Faith and recited the 4th one for us 

This was a youth choir - They were practicing for the musical number for our Fireside in Sinop

 Rice Krispie Treats were a big Hit!   Thanks to my Sister-in-law from home that sent the cereal and marshmallows.  It was an unexpected treat for the Missionaries!

 Elder White's will be leaving the Mission for home next week.  He is leaving mid transfer to start get into school.  We took him out to the Chapada's!  It is something that they all look forward to.

If you look closely over the horizon and to the right you can see the city of Cuiaba!  This is the first time being out here that it has been clear enough to see the city.

Happy New Year 2013

Our favorite day is receiving new Missionaries.  They bring such an excitement with them!  7 New Elders today, the first group of this New Year 2013!

We love these new Elders!  

These are the Brazilian ladies who prepare a feast for our New Missionaries.  The day begins at 6:30 am.  I meet them both at the Grocery store to purchase the food.  We bring it back to the Mission Home and these two create the most beautiful a delicious lunch for our new arrivals.

President and I along with the 2 AP's in the North go to the airport to pick up our new Missionaries

We bring them back to the Mission Home where lunch is ready!  President tells them where each missionary will be going.  I give a short orientation.  Then they are off to the Mission Office where President Reber will interview and the New Missionaries go thru more orientation and meet their 1st companions
