 Missão Brasil Cuiaba
July 1, 2012 - 2015

Our time here and experiences have been tremendous.  We will be forever blessed by them.  No one has learned, grown more or been more blessed then President and I!   We would not trade this experience away!  The Lord knows better than we what is best for us and what we can do.  It is not always easy!  We are pushed to become much more than we ever thought!  It is really having the Faith to do!  That is how I can sum this up Faith, Love, Obediance!
We love this Mission.
We love our missionaries,
We love the people of Brazil
We love our Savior
We love His Gospel,

When we first arrived in the Mission 3 years ago, it was our desire to strengthen and fortify the Mission.  We soon learned that a Mission is much more than baptizing.  It is about Retaining and Reactivating and it is about 'Baptizing Converts".   Teaching missionaries and members a love of our Savior Jesus Christ.  It is about that Love that creates a testimony and desire to be like him.  John`14:15  "If ye love me keep my commandment" vs 21   There will be tears when we leave.  I will also be crying tears of joy when I return to our home and family!  It is the bitter with the sweet!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is True.   The Lords Gospel in it's fullness has been again restored to the earth.  The Lord's message is flooding the earth today.  Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is our Savior and Redeemer.  He knows us, loves us and he atoned for our sins giving us the greatest gift of all, eternal life.  He has a Plan, it is "The Plan of Salvation".
The Lord has given us more scripture  It is the "Book of Mormon".  It testifies of Christ and gives us today more knowledge.  Truth support Truth!
D&C 76:22-24
22-"And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
23 - For we saw him even on the right hand of God and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father--
24 - That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhapitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God."

We close our Blog ending with the words that we leave our missionaries with.
"Fica Firme"
Stay Strong in the Gospel,  keep your testimonies strong and firm!

To our Missionaries who read this Blog and to the families that follow our Blog.
We love our Mission,  We love and care about our missionaries here.  It is hard to leave them.   Someday we will rejoice when we see them again.   We thank our Father in Heaven for the opportunity to have this experience and to know your sons and daughters. We will continue to pray for our missionaries and this "Missão Brasil Cuiabá"!

  1. I'm so glad I found this blog! I served in the Brasília Mission from 1990-92. I was the only sister from England, and when I arrived, I was also the only English-speaking sister in the whole mission! My companion and I, and two other sisters were the first sisters to serve in Cuiabá. I loved that area so much! Crazy that it is now a mission!
