Mission Story and Tender Mercy
April 5, 2015

Sister Harris is one of our Senior missionaries.  She and Elder Harris work in the Mission Office.  Sister Jimenez (red) is a Sister who going home.  Sister Jimenez is from Peru.  The connection they made with Sister Jimenez and the daughter of Sister Harris is a precious story.  An experience that connected the last day of the Mission for Sister Jimenez!  When they shared it with me, I asked Sister Harris to please write in down so I could share on my blog.  Here are her words

General Conference is my favorite time of year and for us it is family time.  So I was missing my family just a little. Sister Jimenez came in for her transfer home two days early so she could watch general conference and we were blessed to house her.  She is a beautiful person inside and out and we started asking her about where she was from in Peru.  My daughter Jenny was in Peru with a humanitarian service experience about six years ago.  We discovered Jenny served near her little village and attended the same branch. Sister Jimenez remembered Jenny and those who served with her.  They had been with her in her home. At the time Sister Jimenez was sixteen and in young womens.  The young women were having an activity making fancy hair accessories she wanted Jenny to come but jenny had to teach a nutrition class at that time so sister Jimenez made one for her.  So we skyped Jenny between conference sessions and they had a tender experience reminiscing.  Jenny still had the hair accessory and showed her. It was so fun for all of us.  It was Heavenly Fathers gift to me to be with Sister Jimenez and hug her as she spoke to my daughter.  The magic of the mission is real and it seems that tender mercies are ever present.

Corumbá
March 29, 2015
added to the Brazil Cuiabá Mission

Corumbá Brasil, Sunday it became officially part of our Mission. For years Coumbá has been in the Bolivia Mission because it is just across the border to Bolivia. Their missionaries from the Bolivia Mission speak Spanish and all their supplied come in Spanish, not Portuguese. They have wanted to be in a Brazil Mission. Last year we started the application with Church Leaders to bring Corumbá into our Mission. Not an easy thing to do to change the boundaries to 2 Missions in 2 different Countries. This isn't the first time to try either. Finally last month we received the good news that it was approved. Last weekend we went to Corumba. The President of the Bolivia Santa Cruz Mission, President and Sister Willard, met us there and we spent a day together. It was an amazing meeting with the Branch there, not soon to be forgotten. Corumbá is now in the Brazil Cuiabá Mission.  Here are some pictures. President and Sister Willard are from Gilbert, AZ!   It was a great day together.

Caceres
March 4, 2015
Branch weekly activity
Attending the Branch weekly activity is something we have trying to support.  This month we assigned Elder and Sister Davis, Elder and Sister Harris each a week to attend.  Then President and I took a turn.  It was fun and well attended.  The kids find joy in simple activities such as musical chairs and relays.  They enjoy being together.
We love this Branch and the members here

Wonderful Branch members

This ym's name is Isaque.  We found him.....or he found us about 9 months ago.  President and I were out in the Plaza of the city.  He was working in a restaurant and saw us walking by.  He was Baptized in Campo Grande.  When he moved to Caceres he didn't know if the church was here.  He was happy to know that there is a Branch and wants to start activity in the church.  Tonight at this Branch Activity we saw Isaque.  He is preparing to serve a Mission.  We were very happy to hear this news.  Miracles happen everyday here in this MIssion.  We love it here!
